I bought this to replace a Craftsman 20 gallon horizontal compressor that I've had for almost 20 years. It still works but the motor is so large (4.5 HP) that it trips the breaker sometimes and it has a slow leak so it won't hold pressure for more than a day or two.

I used $15 in surprise points and about $145 in points that I had saved up for something big to bring my cost down to $21.95, after tax.

Thanks. My store had the 10 gal version for 70% for a few days then reset back to $200. Is there anything on that ad that's worth the sale price?

Nice find! I haven't picked it up yet... if I cancel now how long would it take to get my points back?

Better quality? Doubtful. They're probably manufactured side by side in a factory in Shenzhen! 😁

No idea on the points, sorry, I am less and less familiar with Sears policies these days.

Only if there is a particular tool that you really need/want. There are some good prices, but generally this stuff will be on sale from BF the whole way to Christmas in one way or another.

Yeah, I have been looking at a few options and it actually seems that the Home Depot Husky-brand option seems to be the general best in the $150 BF pricing range. They have a 20 gal vertical one that seems to get a little higher reviews than the Kobalt - many of the Kobalt compressors seem to have poor reviews for leaky regulators.

After listening to one of these California Air Tools compressors, I wouldn't want any other brand, unless it's a rebranded CAT compressor like some Husky compressors, they're made in Ca to boot!

I just got off chat with Sears CS. I can cancel and get my points back within 24-48 hours, but since I used $15 in surprise points the difference to me is only $15 plus tax.

Normally they price match within 30 days but not BF pricing, so that's not an option. I'm a little concerned that if I wait to buy on BF they might be out of stock! So I'm leaning toward keeping it but I won't pick it up until next week so I still have the option to cancel.

Yeah, you're only talking about $15. That alone would be worth it to me to not deal with BF traffic and rushing. I wouldn't worry too much.
