Does anyone know if this is actually a different model than the Anker PowerCore + 13400 model? Would they really make one that only has a 400mAh difference?

This model lacks the quick charge that the 13400 model has for Android phones

Are you sure about that? The reason I ask is because I came across several of the Anker PowerCore+ 13400 portable chargers in clearance at a Walmart recently, but I don't think they have QC capabilities on them. I think both ports are just IQ charging ports.

Thanks for the reply and the information, but I'm wondering if there are maybe two different versions of the PowerCore+ 13400. I'm looking at the box for the portable charger that I bought a couple days ago and it is specifically named the PowerCore+ 13400, it was originally $39.97, and it shows that it has "5 Phone Charges" and does also show 'High-speed Charging', but it doesn't say anything about QuickCharge, specifically. I would take a picture of the box and post it right now, but I'm posting from my phone and don't know how to do that from the Slickdeals app, and it's not possible to post pics from the app, to my knowledge.

Edit: After doing a search on Amazon, you guys may be right about this PowerCore+ 13400 having QC capabilities. It is not mentioned anywhere on the box, nor on the charger itself, which I just opened and looked at. However, there only appears to be one PowerCore 13400 portable charger listed on Amazon and the pictures of it look identical to the one I have, and only show an IQ logo between the output charging ports and the input charging port. So, for some reason, maybe, they just did not put QC on the portable charger itself?

After I post this reply, I'm going to go ahead and plug my Moto G5 Plus in to the charger and see if it activates the Motorola 'Turbo Charging' feature when charging it. And I'll try to come back and post an update afterward.

Edit 2: After plugging in my phone to the charger I have, which is specifically a PowerCore+ 13400, it is not activating the 'Turbo Charging' feature on my Moto G5 Plus. I don't know if it's possible that it may work with other QC-capable devices; but, apparently, it is not going to Turbo Charge my Moto G5 Plus. My guess is that the chargers I found on clearance at Walmart are an older version of the PowerCore+ 13400, and that there is a newer version that was released more recently that does actually have QC 3.0 charging capabilities. Sorry to distract from this deal, by the way. And thanks to those of you who took the time to reply with helpful information.

You might be right about that. I found this:

Fast Charging Technology: Exclusive PowerIQ and VoltageBoost charging technologies combine to provide the fastest possible charge up to 2.4 amps per port (Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 output not supported).

Rapid Recharge: PowerCore+ itself recharges in only 5 hours with a Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 USB Charger (sold separately). Fast 5V / 2A input with normal USB chargers.

Well, now, I'm even more confused. I put my Moto G5 Plus on that Anker PowerCore+ 13400 charger for about 20 minutes and it definitely charged it very rapidly; at least, comparably to how fast my OEM Motorola Turbo Charger charges it. It was definitely around 1% per minute, if not, maybe, a little quicker than that. The 'Turbo Charging' icon was not indicated on my phone, but it definitely seem to be charging at a Turbocharged/QC rate. And I'm not sure, but I think that my Moto G5 plus is QC 3.0 capable. Is it possible that the charger could be charging at a QC rate, but just not causing the Turbo Charge icon on my Moto G5 Plus to show up?

Edit: And am I reading that information that you provided properly? Does it say that you can charge the Anker PowerCore+ 13400 charger itself at a QC 2.0 rate? Basically, saying that it has QC-capable input, but not the ability to Output at a QC rate?

That's how I read it, if you have a QC charger.

Also, this (search Moto G5 quick charge):

Quick charge & turbo charge are the same thing - its just manufacturers brand names
Both moto g5 & g5 plus phones support fast charging, with the Moto G5 coming with a 10W TurboCharge charger out of the box, and the G5 Plus with a 15W TurboCharge adapter.
The Motorola Turbo charger will charge the device at a faster rate when the device is below 78%. If the device is already at 78% or higher, it will charge at regular speed.

PowerCore+ models are have an aluminum body instead of plastic that the standard PowerCore products have.
