I got this offer in the mail. but when I went to that link and put in my skymiles number and last name, it just gives error and ask me to put in the exact number/name listed on the offer.
Did this actually work for anyone?

Same for me the first time I tried on my phone. Tried using safari on a laptop and it brought me to the correct page. The offer was even better including a $50 statement credit in addition to the waived annual fee and miles.

I called them to see if the website on the flyer was incorrect when it wasn't working for me and they didn't have any information on the offer recommending I call back Friday because it would be in their system by then. Weird recommendation but worth a shot if you don't have any luck online. You'll just need the POID code to reference the offer

I got this offer in the mail as well.

I had a Gold Delta SkyMiles Card last year and closed it after I received a bonus...curious why they would send me another one of these offers in the mail and if I am even eligible if I did a promo last year...

Its a good offer though Spend $3,000 within 3 months for 75,000 miles..

Same thing for me. Signed up in 2015 and closed in 2016. I found some information online before I signed up again and it looks like most AmEx cards only offer 1 bonus for life but there are exceptions if you are targeted for another offer for the same card which this appears to be. When I called on Wednesday the reps were clueless about the offer but you could trying calling to confirm prior to enrollment.

Spoke to online rep via chat. They said its hit or miss. The system may or may not allow you to be approved for these targeted offers if you already had a card in the past.

I had my own card from 2015 to 2016. Now I am authorized user on another card (wifes delta gold card)

They said if you are auth user you can still get your own card, however rules state 1 bonus for life. Rep said only way to tell is to apply, get approved, then call in and see if offer is attached to card.

Debating doing it... its a great offer. The good thing is you can find out if the offer is attached to the card before you even start spending. So worst case is you do an application for no bonus.

Thankfully with this offer the fee is waived for first year so you wouldn't be stuck with anything if you're not eligible. I called to confirm since I applied on Wednesday and they said the code was applied correctly and confirmed I'll get the miles if I meet spending requirements. Good luck if you do apply!

There is a special version of T&C written for pre-approved application. You only qualify if somewher in T&C does NOT say one bonus/life. Save a copy of T&C in case something goes wrong, so you have proof in hand. AmEx didn't credit the bonus to my wife's pre-approved Platinum application, offer was attached to the card until she met spending requirement, then no payout for two billing cycle, then was informed one/life, but I had the T&C saved, fought with 4-5 CSR and managers for days before they agreed to pay, not realy worth my time, so I rarely do AmEx offer anymore.

T&C specifies terms and conditions for each card application. You need to save a copy of your own for different card application.

Did anyone who has done this in the past attempt to do it again?

I am tempted to apply and open a card just to see if the bonus will be tied to my account?

Online chat rep said it may or may not work. Last time I had this card in my name as the primary borrower was in June 2016, been closed since then. However I am authorized user on another Delta Gold card.
