$650 for that with no GPU? That's horrible.

Ok. Well said it's not for gaming. I have been looking for a while for a 7th gen i5-7500 desktop that is not for gaming with at least 256 ssd. Can you show me where I can find a better deal? I am open, but this is best I have seen.

From a quick look, here's a almost identical system for $480 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Pr...-_-Product

Not really. If you were looking for casual home use - yes - but the Optiplex line are business computers with Win 10 Pro and THREE YEAR warranties. They are a better build quality than Inspirons and Acer home PCs.

Not anymore they aren't, the only thing they got going for em is the warranty.

I disagree - for business, these are better (although there are better and lesser models). They are not the Optiplex of old, but the warranty support channels are a little better. Plus, I could not live with Win 10 Home. I need Bitlocker, etc.

For a business you would be going directly to dell to get a discount instead of overpaying for this junk from Staples.

Is this same deal on Dell? I get Dells on Costco sometimes. I work with a lot of small businesses and look for the best deal at the time that fits the need. I'm not going to argue with you anymore, I just don't think this is a bad deal. So I will go negate your vote and get back to work :-).

So i just looked on Dell's site. The closest optiplex I could find has 4gb ram and 500gb ata drive. No SSD option. $649. I am just curious if there are better deals of similar quality, SSD drive and win 10 pro where are they as I haven't seen any. I don't think the one mentioned above is an apples to apples for a few reasons.

In my opinion, this is a good, maybe very good deal on a business computer from Dell with 3-year warranty and SSD. The 256 is still an expensive upgrade from Dell. Others will argue "do it yourself and save" but what is your time worth? And that will get you on the warranty side too (they usually only warranty hardware as shipped). So, for right now - this looks like as good a deal FOR THIS as you are going to find. Maybe better next weekend. I find a lot of the Dell builds are cheaper when you get them from Staples or Costco. You still have the warranty (and extra with Costco, but not a lot of Optiplex units there).
