LG 65" OLED C7P $2,299 at Fry's in-store [YMMV]

I went to Fry's today (CA-Bay Area) to try if they would price match the Abe's of Maine (beware the bait and switch) price of 2,275$ and ended up, to my surprise, with a cost of 2,299$!!! (+Tax)

After the price match was rejected due to Abe's not being an authorized LG dealer - the sales person pulled a magic rebate code out of his hat, and voila, shaved 397.99 dollars off the advertised price. Turns out Fry's is running a special promo - you might need to sign up to get a personal promo code (here) [frys.com] or find a sales person that knows what he is doing. He used a single code - and it was obviously not the no-sales tax promo that they are currently running.
Good luck! I am as happy as a lark since I was already ready to settle for the costco deal on the B7P for 2,649.99 ...

Hate to say that I walked out with a B7A for $1996 the other day from Fry's.. they had advertised(with promo code) the 65" for 1999 for a "2016" model but it didn't say which model, just said to see a store associate. After searching their website I couldn't find any of the 2016 models so I took my chance that they would get confused in store. To my delight they did.. not sure how they came up with $1996 but he had to ring me up full price and then refund the difference.

Do you have a link to the ad for 65" for $1999? Or know what day it was? Also what store was this at and do you know the name of the person who helped you? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately this was last week.. they have the same ad today but now it is $2199. Also the Campbell, CA store.. not sure who the person was that helped. I did go in first thing in the morning though when there was only one person working in TV.

I was just at the store in San Diego and was offered the same deal. Their deals usually flip on Saturday evening - not sure if it will continue. With all the B7A deals, this is still solid. Quick research suggests the differences are that 1. C7P will decode Atmos on internal speakers (B7A will pass it through) 2. Aesthetics - salesman said something about C7P being brighter but I haven't confirmed that yet.

Every 2017 OLED from LG is exactly the same picture/panel.

The ONLY differences are:

A) Cosmetic (the color/type of stand, bezel, backing, etc)

B) Built-in Speaker config/capability... (ie more expensive ones have more speakers built in-- they all suck compared to discrete sound though)

Nobody who cares about ATMOS is using built-in TV speakers anyway, so the fact the models other than the B7A decode it for the TV speakers is pretty worthless.

If you want to pay hundreds more for the bezel or backing material you really think is pretty, totally your call... but the actual performance of the B7A is exactly the same as the B7P, C7P, E7P, or G7P... (or even the insanely expensive W uses the same panel as the others)
