Best Buy has select Steelbook Blu-ray movies on sale from $7.99 each or from $6.99 each w/ store pickup discount.

Shipping is free or select store pickup if stock permits. Add the ones you'd like to purchase to cart, select shipping first, and as stock permits, it'll give you $1 off at checkout for picking up in store (if it doesn't work try the same method in mobile site, not app)
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I think this is why:

Child: Dad can I watch a movie?

Dad: Sure. Turn on the TV, go to this app, if it logged out enter these credentials.. email.. SnoopyIsAwesome6382@SomeDomain.com and password is KrispyCuPcAkEs189!$ all using the D-pad. Don't screw it up or you'll have to start over. Then go to my account, purchases, my movies, recently added, kids movies and scroll through and select the movie you want. Choose 1080i and click play.

Child: I think I'll just play outside.

Dad: Good idea. I think we hit our 1TB limit from our ISP anyway.

It's nice having a hardcopy in case your digital service fizzles out or your internet drops. Plus, why pay the same price for digital only since it's much, much cheaper for companies to sell their digital copies. Unless I can get a digital only for half the price of a physical+digital, I'm not biting. With that said, I don't buy physical only either; outside anime due to Vudu's stupid double selling (dubbed and subtitled).

Up at my parents place, its not uncommon to get power losses during heavy snow storms. A backup generator gives them power back, but their internet is still out; along with TV. At least with physical copies, they can still watch a movie while waiting to get services back.

Some people still like to actually own physical copies. Maybe they like seeing their collection, rather than having it in some folder in some hard-drive. Also, when you get a digital copy, in most cases you actually don't "own" the movie (you just have the rights to access it.). Not trying to say one way is better than the other, just hey whatever floats your boat.

Also, DYK, Blockbuster Video still operates in Alaska. There are some remote areas in the state where Internet is crazy expensive, so they don't have the luxury of streaming. Instead, they travel to their local Blockbuster to rent physical copies.

Lossless. Streaming can't compare quality wise. Ability to copy. EXTREME superior quality. Is that enough for now?
