Sirius XM Radio Retention Offer - $5.68 per month for 1 year of Select Package

I had a 4 month for $20 deal that I was using that was about to run out. Called Sirius XM and they gave me several offers that I denied until these options were given:

pay $34.08 (one-time charge) for 6 months of XM Select package
pay $5.68 (monthly charge) for 12 months of XM Select package

I went for the full year deal. They let me apply this offer to both of my vehicles for the same rate ($5.68)x2

Note: this package does not include Howard Stern or other premium channels. Check siriusxm for channel details.

I believe there was an even shorter package available too (5 months?) that was also at the $5.68 rate.

These rates include fees and (N.Y.) taxes.

They spam me every single day with same offer. Nothing new?

Edit:

12 Months for $99.00 -- Save $92.88

6 Months for $29.94 -- Save $66.00

If the $5.68/month, or $68.16/year does indeed include all taxes and fees, then that's the best deal I've personally seen for SiriusXM. I usually have to call in and get 6 months for $30 or 5 for $25, and roughly $6 to $7 in taxes and fees are always added on, so my total for service, taxes and fees is a tad over $6/month. Not a significant difference from the OP's price, but I would certainly take his deal as it would mean only having to call once per year.

But can it be replicated?

I get the 5 month offer for $25 and they offer free streaming. I was about to get this when my Pandora free offer runs out. I think the streaming offers more channels then the radio version.

I can vouch for this. I just did this my self and came here to post and saw it was posted. They first started with 99 for a year I said no. Then the 6 month deal for 66 I said no and then he goes got a special holiday promotion and it's 5.68 including fees and taxes and it's charged each month for 1 year. Now I just need to set a 1 year reminder.

I've been completely addicted to the app/streaming service for some time now. When I get home I just connect my phone to my bluetooth speaker and fire up the app and I can be back to listening exactly where I left off in my car. I wouldn't accept any sirius xm package without it.

My Lynx receiver just died on Thurs, called to cancel and was only offered Onyx Ez and no discount. Not even an Onyz and 3 free months of service. Bye bye.

I called yesterday to cancel my truck radio after a 5 month promo. They offered me a few options but then got to the 12 months x $5.68. Depending on what kind of stereo platform you have (Sirius, Sirius XM) this package will include Stern on the Sirius only stereo but not the other platform.

I called today to cancel my wife's Sirius XM car stereo and they offered the same deal but I declined as my wife never listens to it. I asked if my wife would get Stern and they said no because the type of stereo she has vs my Sirius based stereo in my truck.

Happy to have the deal on my truck. Don't have to worry about it for a year and at a great price with Stern!

Did this include streaming? Need to renew but potentially interested in streaming. What's the best deal with streaming right now?

In. The rep on the phone told me it goes through 12/10/18 so I'd assume the deal is good until then this year.

For those who want (or need in my case) streaming and Howard Stern (Woot!!! Woot!!!), XM has a $50 for 6 months/$120 for a year (before taxes/fees) All Access deal. You may have to call a few times, but it's been available for several years now.

Long live Ronnie, and Eff Jackie.

Yeah, I saw the $30 for 6 month deal at the top of their website, but I was not eligible for some reason.

They offered a 5 month $25 Select plan. I asked for a 1 year plan (at $5/ month), but they said no.

Here's my choices:

$25 for 5 months Select
$99 for 12 months Select

I was like, uh, gimme the 5 months and then I'll cancel. I have All-Access and I still get commercials which sucks. Howard Stern is also annoying so I never listen him.

I had high hopes for Sirius XM and even invested when they merged, but it seems I hear the same thing over and over again.
