Nice deal. In time for holiday lights.
I recommend getting the Hook hub [amazon.com] with these outlets so that you can control with App, Alexa, IFTTT and Google Home. I have about 15 of these outlets connected to the Hook hub and love the setup.

I have this and I love it. Makes it easy to turn on and off my floor lamp. My floor lamp's switch is hidden and hard to reach, so this makes it much better.

I looked around for something like this before I jumped to Hue as I owned several Etekcity switches, but somehow I never saw this last year. Might get a hub if it ever goes on sale. Thanks!

Ditto, definitely recommend the hook hub and Alexa. I group the devices into house and garage.

Yes, these are only for indoor use so buy a similar units that are for outdoor use, I have yet to see any that are for outside that have multiple channels.

They are not smart (Zibgee, Zwave or WiFi) outlets, therefore no they do not work with smartthings. You can connect these outlets to the Hook hub and then to smartthings but I haven't tried it myself. Here's the device handler:
