I got one of these to replace my Harmony 300 that my dog chewed up. I didn't really like it. It lasted just one week after the warranty expired and my batteries never held a charge very long.

I wish they still made the Harmony 300 cause these remotes with screens just seem like too much for me.
I'm thinking of going for the Harmony Hub to control with a Google Home Mini.

$8 more gets you the Hub - https://brickseek.com/walmart-inv...u=34969761

Good deal though.

I bought a refurb of this several years ago and love it. The button to the bottom right of the screen is hard to activate now, so this is a perfect time to replace it.

Where? You link isn't a store. I searched Walmart and couldn't find it either.

It's a YMMV & B&M deal at this point from Walmart.
All the store near me have it for $58 and 8/10 have stock of 2+

Oh I thought you meant a charging hub for the 700. Not a fan of the harmony hub and basic remote.

Agree. For 8$ more you get point anywhere remote and ability to handle Bluetooth/RF devices in harmony smart control. If you have devices which uses Bluetooth /RF that would be a better choice

I'm not a fan of rechargeable... though I saw the 665 for the same price and may take that route. My current harmony battery is garbage and I'm on my 2nd one. Thanks for the post, though I'm likely taking the link to the 665

The Wal-Mart deal is still hot YMMV if you can find some. I just got the last 2 at my store and that's after watching the deal here on SD for a while.

The 700 lets you replace the included rechargeable batteries for normal AA's if necessary. That led me to purchase the 700 over the 650. Also, the ability to setup your devices via your computer makes the initial setup with the 700 much easier imo.

650 let's you set up via computer too. they are basically exactly the same remote minus the built in battery recharger in the 700. I owned both at the same time. The 700 got beat to hell and stopped working, now I just use the 650.

When you say 'beat to hell'.... was that normal use or because it sucked? Haha. I just ordered the 700, though am worried a bit.

well, I lived in a house with 4 other people plus 3 significant others, so 2 years of use there was like 10 normal years Big Grin

I bought the 650 a few months before I moved out, so it survived and I've had it since.

Awesome, thanks for clearing that up. I have 7 activities that I have with my receiver, is there a remote you'd pick over the other? 665 or 700? I know the 650 isn't the 665, but any help is appreciated.

As I said, of this style they are all basically the same. Pick the one that has the specific features you need and is cheapest. I found the battery charger built into the 700 is nowhere near as good as a decent standard charger. With my Eneloop batteries the 650 lasts several months of "single family" use, so when the batteries die I just throw in a charged set and recharge the previous ones.

I plan on getting the Elite+hub soon, but I do wish they had a 650-style remote that worked with the hub, RF for my TiVo, and bluetooth for my Fire TV Stick...
