How is the quality of this brand compared to Lodge?

I tried to do this deal last time. They didn't ship out one of them in time for the rebate to still be valid so I had to cancel one of my orders.

The Victoria one I got is good quality. It functions indistinguishably from my Lodge, and has a longer handle which is easier on my wrists.

I own this skillet and can attest to the quality being better than the Lodge right out of the box. The pre-seasoned coating is excellent and food does not stick. I like the longer, thinner handle and it doesn't get as hot as a few of my other skillets. The deeper pour spouts and support handle are nice too. Unlike Lodge, this skillet is not made in the USA. It is made in Colombia. For this price, buy with confidence.

The rebate form says "Valid Purchase Dates: 11/16/17 - 11/25/17 Victoria Cast Iron 12" Fry and 10" Grill $10 Mail-In Rebate *". Does it mean you have to get both fry and grill? There's another rebate title underneath saying fry "or" grill but the valid purchase date is 11/26/2017-11/29/2017.

Seriously, though. Does the Victoria have a smooth cooking surface, as compared to Lodge? The newer Lodge pans are so rough inside.

I have a $10 Macy's money. It would be a good use on this if that rebate wasn't necessary.

I tried accessing the rebate form but I get an invalid error. What's up with that.

There is a youtube vid of a guy sanding out the inside of his cast iron pans for a smooth cooking surface. I did the same thing (not sure the brand I had), and I had lesser tools than the guy... it just took a bit longer. I gave it to a friend, and he said the smooth inside is much easier to season, crusts are more even, stuff doesnt stick "as much", etc. So its definitely something that can be achieved with a bit of effort and dust Smilie
