Deal starts 11/23 @ 11AM ET. Product link and Dell ad is shown below. Like the last Aurora deal which sold out in a few seconds. This will likely be the same.

I updated the link to the actual deal. Add $100 for GTX 1070, add $200 for 1080. This one even allows you to add liquid cooling for $50. Combining with SD tiered rebates, you can get i5 8th gen, 1080 for $800 after rebate.

I do not have amex offer, so I will not buy from dell.com this season. Best deal, ever...save me tons of money.

i5-8400 is no bueno for FPS. Dell's z370 motherboard definitely doesn't get the most out of Intel's 8th generation chips. I've heard that they may even slow down clock speed, would make sense to prevent overheating and thus reduce warranty claims.
It does just fine at gaming, FPS or otherwise: https://www.techspot.com/review/1...page3.html

And I highly doubt your claim that this 95W processor in combination with the water cooling system in this computer has any heat or throttling issues

Yeah, that's my thinking as well which is why I jumped on the ebay R6 for $740 with an i5 7400

8400 is a great chip for gaming...

How does this compare to the Dell Ryzen 7 1700x I got for $800 on the Dell website? I imagine with the GTX 1060 and i5-8400 might be better at gaming but the Dell better for editing.

I wonder what upgrades are available on this deal. A 1080 and liquid cooling would make this really slick. Especially with that 15% veterans day discount.

You gain a few % with the 8th gen i5. The GPUs are almost a wash. You get sightly better components with the Alienware. Not sure if it's worth the trouble returning.
