I think the post is fine. If you provide full specs that will help.

The only bad thing is all these i7 6th and 7th gen deals just have a higher markup because intel wont give them a break vs the newer it 8th gen series thats faster.

http://www.cpu-monkey.com/en/comp..._8250u-772

Bad thing is this is a 768 screen vs the 1080p ones around with the i5-8250u ones (around 500 and 600). The ssd is a plus but in reality a 512gb ssd is about 130 to 150 tops. Windows 10 pro is about a $50 upgrade so thats good but most people wont need that. if you need a pro laptop for a windows domain etc and are in a tight budget this is nice. i personally would rather have 256gb ssd and $50 off. most general business environments dont need that much storage. pros who do need more disk space need a stronger cpu imo for virtual machines, development, etc.

Personally i would say this acer at a standard price of 600 is a better deal overall. It also allows easy access to add another 4 to 8gb ram stick where the dells traditionally require the entire bottom plate to be replaced. Also has backlit keyboard, better battery life, 1080p ips screen and mx150 graphics (equal to a 1030).

Basically I compare all deals to this as a base at this point. I also compare to the asus vivo book for the lighter weight smaller foot print area.

Harder to work on but not impossible for a newbie. Most common upgrade is 256 m.2 sata3 at about $80. For all these laptops I recommend making sure both memory slots are filled to get a performance boost from duel channel mode.

Good luck laptop hunting.

I hear that. Thanks for helping the community out but your baby comes first. I know its hard to wind down but your better off just turning off your devices and getting rest when you can.

Anyway to edit the title you will need to open this link in a web browser and not use the Slickdeals app. You can click the share link and copy the link than paste in chrome/safari. You need to log into slick deals here and after that you can edit the thread post.

Good luck buddy!

I was at Costco playing with some laptops. All the laptops that have 8th gen Intel performs really well. fast and smooth. Even the i5 I tested was very impressive.

I think this laptop is a good deal. However, I suggest that you try out the 8th gen CPU before making the decision.

My neighbor has a brand new, sealed dell xps 13:
"New Dell XPS 13 9360 i7-7560U 16GB 512GB QHD 3200x1800 Touch laptop"
he wants to sell it for 1k, but I'd rather pay $1300 to buy the same laptop with slightly lower RAM/SSD from costco that has 8th gen i7. My point is: the 8th Gen is very impressive in real life.

ISNPSAVE320 coupon says 'This coupon code is invalid.' So, if that is not working, is this laptop is any worth?
