Nice, and I have 8% eBay Bucks right now. Just not sure what I need a 3.5" 1TB WD Blue HDD for. If it were 2.5" Id be all over it.

are you kidding me? I just bought a bunch of used HGST enterprise 3TB drives for $35 each! I know some of you might think "used HGST vs new WD", but this is WD Blue... low end stuff, while HGST enterprise drives are some of the most reliable drives.. i'd rather have a used HGST over any WD Blue, any day.

If this is the drive I'm thinking it is $40 is about the lowest you'll see. I think bestbuy has these or something similar occasionally at around the same price.

This drive is very quiet, 7200rpm. Been using one for a couple years now, very nice drive.
I have some of the 2TB HGST Enterprise drives and they are noisy.

U bought whole bunch of abused enterprise drives and brag about it? Those you bought are going to fail anytime. It is unpredictable... it is like buying a used car

check ebay. currently out, but they pop up every couple of months, i just buy them in boxes of 20 drives each. picked up a box last week. probably have a few hundred hard drives laying around here. PM me if you want the specific seller I bought from and I can put you in touch when he has more.

abused? you think enterprise drives sitting in disk shelves or servers in a climate controlled environment is abused? oh man.. you make me laugh LMAO look up videos of people who do data recovery on WD blue drives... they only have bearings on 1 side and depend on the pressure of the top cover to hold things steady; WD's way to "reduce" costs to produce cheap drives. look up BackBlaze data on hard drive reliability from a few years ago, HGST has been top dog for several years on that front. I will take HGST enterprise drive with 30000 hours use and 2M hours MTBF over a brand new WD Blue any day. plus, buying new, you have to deal with the infant mortality rate of these drives, where as enterprise drives that are worn in are all the ones that have survived past the infant mortality period. these blue drives will fail before my used HGST enterprise drives; and I will have paid less than than $42 and have 3x the storage per spindle.

but hey, it's your money, do as you wish. i'm just letting people know there are other options if you're looking for spinning platters for storage.
