Cabelas has the Bushmaster QRC AR15 Rifle with a Red Dot scope for $450 after the $150 rebate. This is a steal for an AR15! If you were lucky enough to get the $100 Cabelas gift cards for $82 then its even more slick!

With the gift cards it comes out to $396 + tax and that includes the scope!

why would someone pick the 10+1 capacity instead of the 30+1?
The 10+1 is available at a store, but all others not in stock. For online ordering, both say backordered, the 30+1 says 5-6 weeks shipment which will miss the rebate deadline.

also surprising this hasn't been pulled down yet - don't use other words to describe...

Already pulled down Frown

10+1 vs 30+1 is a matter of what's legal in your state.

Better off avoiding Bushmasters well known QC issues by getting another brand and buying an optic seperate. The one on it is just $20-$25 China junk that you'll replace anyways. Will still end up spending less even after getting a $40 red dot. Not paying tax will more than offset FFL fee as well.

must postmark by 12/15/17.

Since both are backordered online, unlikely to get in time for the rebate. Which leaves you to only what's available in-store. For me, that's only one store with a 10 mag.

the site I posted charges $65 extra for the red dot sight on it. Looks like you can get aftermarket for under $50.

For me, the other deal is better due to tax vs ffl.

What QC issues should I worry about? I got the one without the cheap red dot for 350 after rebate and put my own optic on it.

Here's a great thread with some details in post. As mentioned in there, the novice may not notice many of these but I would think if it kind of like when you replace old shoes, you don't realize how bad the old ones were until you put on new ones.

That link does not go to a direct link that reviews the bushmaster faults. Can you post the sub -category that the review is listed under.
