On the bright side I've heard the battery life on these is insane, so odds are they put in better components. The switch itself supposedly costs under $200 to make, but it's like 60 or 70 dollars to manufacture the damn joycons. I bet the pro controller costs a similar amount to manufacture just because of the things they put in it, though what specifically is so expensive idk.

Xbox and PS4 controllers don't have NFC or motion controls.

Aside from the awesome battery life that I've heard, they also have HD rumble effects and motion controls. I agree these are expensive though.

Maybe just the battery is larger. I don't see Nintendo out to rip people off.

That's seems unreasonable. I bet it costs much less to manufacture the system and Jon cons than that otherwise they'd never make up for overhead and R&D.

Fair point. Tbh the issue is they never do sales on stuff. Xbox controllers are $60 retail, switch ones are $70, but Xbox ones regularly go on sale for $30-40 while the switch is stuck at $60 on sale at best. If they'd have a black Friday $40 sale somewhere I'd buy one or two, but not at $60-70
