(1) Repost - but i think the original deal got stuck in the wrong forum, so understandable. i still have issues finding it
(2) I believe there is still shipping cost here, so should add to title

unrelated to those points, has anyone heard any feedback on this thing yet? still has no reviews online

Tempting, but I think I'll hang tight with my current setup.

From the User's Manual, this doesn't have HDR.

brightness is only 250 nits which is not bright enough to qualify for HDR, which requires at least 1,000 nits.

Considering LG and ASUS both have issues with supplying 32" HDR displays for their flagship $1000+ monitors and neither has an HDR monitor available to the general public yet, I would be very surprised if Monoprice was able to make one ahead of both LG and ASUS.

This is a great price for a 4K IPS monitor with Freesync, and it's a great buy for that. But don't be fooled by the claim that it has HDR.

I have 1 and it does have HDR. The lumens is just at the requirement and the menu is terrible, but the monitor is quite nice overall.

I'm trying to decide between this and the BenQ PD3200U.

The BenQ has a higher brightness, and better stand.

The Monoprice has HDR, possibly a nicer screen coating, a lower quoted G2G response time, DP 1.3 instead of 1.2, and is half the price.

Need some more feedback on the Monoprice first I think.

Can you elaborate please? Any other monitors to compare it to?

I wonder if this monitor will qualify for the 20% Monoprice BF sale?

The mount on this Monitor is very basic. Mine is VESA mounted so it's not an issue. The coating is a very even matte, but it is quite aggressive, and almost too much. This replaced a Dell 2709 and has the exact same color profile, but the Dell coating is less and it has better able viewing up close.

I also have a Dell U3014 which is similarly bright and 2 Samsung CF791 which are much much brighter. I think HDR on windows 10 is good in games and movies, but not for regular desktop or photo editing work. I would expect the BenQ 32 to be brighter, but this one is quite good especially at $400

Thanks! When you say the matte coating is aggressive, what do you mean?

I guess it likes Dell monitor a few years back when the Anti Glare coat makes the screen look grainny and dirty. Anyway, if you buy this monitor because you want to experience HDR then dont. One thing worth to mention is gsync and hdr do not come together.
