Same price as Arrow. Wish we'd see a deal on this for BF. Probably unlikely I'm guessing.

$5 off $35 is hardly a slick deal.

Next.

Have seen them year round for right at 30 bucks at various times so not sure if I'd call it a great deal but because of what you can do with this and how very easy it is, it is totally worth the 30 bucks IMO.

If anyone has a promo code they aren't going to use, I'd appreciate it.

Has anyone here tried connecting a Pi camera to use as a WiFi home security camera? Have you had any luck with cameras on eBay, especially ones from Asia? Also, anyone bought one of these from eBay:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/182641298870

Seems worth a shot at $2, seeing as it appears to come with 2 micro servo motors (but I'm guessing it doesn't at this price). No camera, but they tend to go for around $5-$10 on eBay. Plus $5 or so for a short cable.

Also, what software do you use? I tried Motion with a USB webcam but it kept quitting on me.

I was about to do this but they charge tax in my state! Ridiculous since there are no stores here.

The amount of time and money you'd spend setting this up with a RPI wouldn't be worth it. Especially when you can find deals on security cameras that have pan features.

You have to keep in mind the cost of the RPI, servos, power adapter, SD card, case, camera and wiring. Not to mention the time and effort it would take to set this all up.

You just made an argument against buying the Pi entirely, given that pretty much anything you might want to do with it can be bought ready-made. The whole point of the Pi is to tinker, not efficiency. Plus, I already have several Pi's, cases, adapters, mSD cards, etc., with WiFi, so it's just a matter of getting and setting up the cameras and SW. And, decent security cameras aren't cheap.

Right. And I believe it's also free 1-day shipping (order $20+). https://www.arrow.com/en/products...foundation

You can also buy a NesPi case (around $25) and make yourself and emulator machine.

Wow, $2-$3 whole bucks, what a scam. Time for us citizens to rise up and put an end to taxes entirely. It's just faceless people stealing our money to do stupid shit like build roads, hire cops, defend the country, etc. Plus what's up with having to pay for anything? Total scam.
