Destiny 2 must be activated for a GTX 1080 user. I've heard that people have sold these codes with proper disclaimers and haven't had issues.

Assassin's Creed needs your serial number and other info and then it emails you a code that can be redeemed on any Uplay account.

I got this deal for $500 a couple weeks ago and that was my experience.

I would advise against going with SLI. Being very short, here are the reasons why:
1) SLI support in new games may be suboptimal/non-existent
2) SLI performance gains will rarely exceed 60% vs a single card
3) If you are competitive in FPS games, SLI will introduce an additional (small) latency

Just do yourself a favor and get a 1080ti (~35% faster than 1080). Nowadays, a single card solution is probably the best thing.

Thanks Will.

Definitely very tempting. Doesn't seem to make sense to get a 1070 Ti when you can get a 1080 at almost the same price...

It is tempting haha. I had a 760 so I figured why not upgrade and get two new AAA games with it.

And don't quote me on how the Destiny activation works. Maybe you just need a 10 series graphics card, but I'd suggest doing some more research for a definitive answer.

Only issue I have with the deal is that I can't seem to confirm if you can use 2 Newegg gift cards in the same transaction if I purchase 2 of the living social or groupon GC deals to get an additional $40 off. ($200 GC w/ additional $20 x2)

The gift cards have no limitations. You can use as many as you like per transaction.

If anyone buys and doesn't want the game code, I'll be willing to pay for Assassin's Creed but don't expect full value of 60. I currently have an EVGA SC2 1080ti in my rig.
