Was looking for a new shopvac and didn't see this deal mention as imo is better than the lowes one for the same price since this has 2.5in hose + 20ft power cord.

Discount showed once add into cart, $39.99 free store pickup.

Just an FYI to everyone because I know it is not obvious and is purposefully confusing to the consumer, but today's Craftsman vacs from Sears are designed and produced by a Chinese company.

Meanwhile, the ACE Hardware Craftsman vacs are still produced (as the old Sears ones used to be) by company called Emerson Tool Company. They are designed at the HQ in St. Louis, MO and produced in Reynosa, Mexico, walking distance from Pharr, TX where the distribution warehouse is. Emerson Tool Company is the same company that produces all of the RIDGID vacs for Home Depot, being a sister division under Emerson Electric to The Ridge Tool company, world famous in the commercial industry for their red/orange plumbing tools, who they get the brand from.

Which is all to say that if you feel like there has been quality change in Craftsman vacs from Sears, it isn't all in your head. With Sears' constant struggle to stay afloat, they had to make some serious moves on price. Meanwhile, the Craftsman vacs from ACE should still have the same quality as the RIDGID vacs.

I ordered one yesterday for a store pickup. Got an email it's ready for pick up. Drove 30 miles to pick up, just to be told from the manager, sorry we are sold out and we had cancelled the order. I didnot get any email confirmation until today after I called customer service about the case. No regrets, they said we will refund you the money.
Went to the other store as a new customer to buy. The guy told me sales tax is on original price which was 110 something, so $10 extra. I said, I have a receipt of the other store, comign out a total of 43. He disrespectfully said, 'why don't you go to that store then'. After talking this whole issue to customer care, I found out, ACE HW are owned independently and don't take a shit responsibility of your order or anything else. Disgruntled, i did not have any hopes on these stores anymore. Although since this is a decent deal I ordered one to be shipped exclusively. Hope that works out better. But all in all, this was my last purchase there.

Do you know if sears has any decent craftsman shop vacs? I'm in the market for one and you seem like you know everything about tools and related things lol.

It can be used for vacuuming dry material or liquids after u remove the filter. The wet part can b very handy if u have a pipe bust/leak, etc

Also known as a "shop vac," it will pick up fluids and larger objects than your standard vacuum.

Yes most cheapies now has the 1.75" diameter host and 7ft cord!

Hard to find any with 2.5"hose + 20ft power cord under $50

Price is pretty good as long as the filter replacements are reasonable. Might check that out before buying it? I love my ridgid I bought about 5 years ago for about the same price at HD but the filters are more than half the price of a new machine? Sheet rock dust and high humidity kills the filters.
