To clarify, this does work with Alexa by using Honeywell's Total Connect Comfort Skill.

this one requires a C wire, the common for the 24VAC, if your old thermostat only has 3 wires (R/Rh/Rc, W, Y at a minimum) and it's doing both heat and AC chances are you don't have a C wire... you could always check though if a wire is simply pushed into the wall and connect that to the common of the AC transformer at your unit.

Good price. Have had ours up for a week. Nice to program it on the computer.

But, to be honest, if it had not been free after local power company rebate, I would have felt it was not worth it.

Man... attractive price... not sure if I should hold out for the ecobee4? Decisions... decisions... I'm guessing there's no Alexa integration on this one...

Anyone have any experience installing a thermostat like this?

I have whole house air/heat (no zones) with an old model honeywell. current one is programmable but a real PITA since its only got like 3 buttons and scrolling thru days and times is a nightmare.

I'm just wondering if it's a true 1:1 installation...meaning if theres 3 wires going into my current unit, i can hook those same three right into this and be set.

I have an extremely old thermostat. Should I just get this or go all out and get a Nest?

How well does it worth with SmartThings? Like can you control the temperature on your phone?

Does this have a filter hour meter? I like to change my filters based on run time rather than on a schedule. My current thermostats are Bayweb and they don't have a filter hour meter which sucks because they are reliable otherwise.

ZWave will direct connect, WiFi goes through Honeywell's service and you connect through Total Connect Comfort.
