H&R Block 2017 Deluxe Download [hrblock.com]

Uncheck the extended download service checkbox or it will add $5.99 to the price.

All their tiers charge $19.95 for state e-filing - with the exception of New Hampshire, which is unavailable:

See attached images from someone who has it installed already to show that federal e-filing is included as well as the state program.

I can't tell from the purchase page...does this download allow you to download a state edition too, plus the filing fee? Seems like the 44.95 version includes a state d/l, and only $35 without, so I would assume yes but hate to have to buy software plus filing fee for state version.

Careful - the version linked by the OP does not seems to include a state software download

The federal in the link does include e-filing.

And any of their tiers will cost $19.95 for a state e-filing - and per each state e-filing.

I've purchased this and downloaded / installed and have the notification that it will update when the state file is ready after 1/5/18. I don't need it though - no income tax state here.

Here, I've opened it up and took screen shots to show you guys that you will get an update for state and that it is e-filing.

AGAIN - you're going to pay an additional $19.95 for any state e-filing in addition to any price you pay for any of their tiers - their state e-filing isn't free.

Per the link in the OP:
"One personal state program download included — a $39.95 value (State e-file available for $19.95 per return)"
https://www.hrblock.com/tax-software/index.html

See attachments from someone who has it installed already Roll Eyes (Sarcastic).

It is included per my install and using the same link in the op that was emailed to me.
Added images above and in the OP to verify for the naysayers.

Pretty much every year you can get Deluxe plus state download for this price or less. I'd wait until the tax software deals start in earnest.

With all the fraud that's occurred and with essentially everyone's information being hacked due to Equifax, I'm sure you can bet on a BIG increase of fraudsters filing your income tax before you can this tax season.

I'm not waiting. Hardly see sub $20 until well into the tax season. I think Equifax hack alone is enough reason to file as early as possible. Worth the risk to wait for another $5 off, really???

I'm not convinced this includes a state (don't care about state e-filing), so I'm going to pass, otherwise I'd jump on this.

Is this a good or at least OK deal for those of us without a state tax?

Of course none of us can predict the future, and past performance is no guarantee of the future, but in the past, when exactly have the better discounts appeared? Later in the year, or would we have to wait until like April 17h?

Yes
You can wait and maybe save $5, but maybe by then someone with information from the Equifax breach has already filed your tax return for you.

You can go to Amazon and then CamelCamelCamel to compare the prices of last year's Deluxe download.
