Anyone have any suggestions for a sub $150 printer that I can also print good quality photos.

Thanks! I was about to buy this printer at Fry's for $50 this week.
$39 no tax and free shipping to CA is even better!

Looks like it also has cheap 3rd party inks on eBay.

How does this compare to the MG3620 deal for 25 bucks. Is there any more other than the touchscreen? Does it come with a starter ink or full cartridges.
Edit : The listing says full ink set. But that's vague

I posted this on another Canon PIXMA thread, it might be helpful to either of you. The reviews state this printer does great photos. I purchased it but I don't print photos, so I can't vouch for the photo printing.

"If someone is looking for a Canon printer...You can get the PIXMA TS9020 for $39.99 + tax at Staples.com after doing a price match (using Microcenter for the lower price). I did this last week after another slick dealer mentioned that they had done this so credit goes to them.

Price at Staples: $149.99 (price will drop $10 in cart)
Price at Microcenter: $49.99 (must add to cart to see this price)
Staples will price match plus give you 10% of price difference: $110 discount
Final Price: $39.99 + tax

I'm not sure if you would need a MicroCenter locally to be able to price match with Staples, I don't know the rules for price matching. I did have one locally though, don't know if that made a difference. I did the pricematch request via Staples chat.

The TS9020 is a pretty nice printer too."

I would not recommend printing photos at home for most people if you only print a couple of photos a year. Did you know these printers waste ink each time you turn them on?

On the flip side, how much are they really wasting if they only print a few times a year?

Every time I turn it on, my canon mx922 realigns its head and wastes ink.

Even if all you want to do is scan. In fact, if you leave it on you'll hear it move its head several times a day. Wastes a little bit of ink each time. The only winning move is to not play.

Agree, but e-bay ink for the MX922 is ridiculously cheap and it has no problem guzzling the cheap stuff. I have a newer Brother Laser but still use the Canon inkjet quite a bit.
