DT: Down tuned / De tuned. Basically a Card that did not reach the QA and stability of a ftw3 card and was down clocked. just an FYI for people who was curious what DT.

I think that deal was a mistake, they did not mean to do it that way. I mean not a coupon/discount and a gift card on the same item. It was way too cheap

Does it the performance is not as good as the normal ftw3?

It's the DT version, lower clocks than FTW3 Gaming

739.99$ - 20$ (code EMCBBBH46) - 20$ (rebate) =699.99$

Destiny 2 included.

That one is actually better than the model in this post, not much though.

I guess the difference is quite small. I got two ftw3 gaming elite last time when it was $700+100gc. In default settings, it will run at 1950mhz stably in games, but I can't push it to 1987mhz stable. I haven't tried to increase to voltage though.

Opinions/suggestions please?

[ 4k + 2k@165hz + 4k ] + [4k tv above] + [oculus rift]

4k monitors would be for 4k movies/shows and lightroom/photoshop/premiere pro

2k monitor for gaming (single monitor use only)

I already have a gtx 1080, but it doesn't power 4 monitors well. I'm looking to get another gtx 1080, but I see that some people say to just get a 1080 ti. Is that SOLELY because sli gaming on multiple monitors won't be good? What if I'm gaming only on the 2k monitor? I just need to run all 4 monitors smoothly...

Thanks

Honestly.... For your particular setup, I would wait for Volta (and I have never said that to anyone on this site). You are pushing way beyond the limits of a 1080ti with a display setup like that.

In theory, you should be fine driving 4k displays (as displays, not for gaming) and running a 2k@165hz with a 1080ti. However, you are pushing the limits and will likely need to turn down game settings to compensate. The 1080ti is about 30-35% faster than your 1080, which would basically make the overall displays feel smooth, but would likely not increase your game performance much.

You could always pickup a 1080ti and use multi GPU (run the 3x monitors off the 1080 and the 2k off a 1080ti). Or just get a 1060 to drive the 3x4k monitors and keep your 1080 for the gaming monitor. You will run the secondary card on lower bandwidth but for your needs (PS/movies) you will still see a massive increase in responsiveness. The issue with a setup like that would transition over to your CPU if you plan on multitasking while gaming.

Just my .02.

If you've already spent the money on 2x 4k monitors, a 4k TV, a 2k/165 monitor, and an Oculus Rift the real question is why don't you already have a 1080 Ti?
