FYI. This is a grey market import.

No US warranty. It does have a "1 year seller warranty". No idea how good their 6Ave's repair capability is, but their reseller ratings and consumeraffairs.com ratings are awful.

Also keep in mind that Panasonic offers a free 3 year warranty extension for all cameras and lenses bought from authorized retailers.
Adrorama has it for the standar price with about $100 in freebies. https://www.adorama.com/ipcdcgh5a.html BandH will match.

$100 in freebies plus the 3 year Panasonic US warranty, worth the xtra for most.

Maybe if the seller didn't have the awful rep of 6Ave.

Guess could protect the purchase by buying with a credit card that offers protection, but guessing there's fine print in most credit card warranties that exempts grey market items without warranties. Some of those credit card warranties have language exempting camera and photo gear.

A quick search of https://www.dpreview.com shows lots of buyers say 6Ave's warranty is worthless.

Good news is that it's on eBay as they offer great buyer protection. If you want a warranty, get the Square Trade 2-3 year warranty for cheap on eBay. Very good company with handling any claims.

Not sure, but somehow SquareTrade gets them repaired.

A 3-Year square trade warranty on the 6Ave GH5 would cost $309.

Which puts this within 10% {$200}of the retail priced camera and its included 3-Year warranty. Authorized retailers like Adorama give about $100 in quality freebies, like high speed, high quality memory cards. The price difference is then only $100.

It really doesn't seem worth the trouble to deal with a seller with a horrible rep like 6Ave when the product is only 5% more at good sellers like Adorama and BandH.

Agree with Larron.

Their feedback, especially on the GH5 sales and Apple Watches show both good and bad - lots of ppl being sold used ones or returns with higher counts.

It's a crapshoot, you might get a great one, but may not... their response to return requests doesn't seem too great based on feedback, so if there's an issue, just give em a day and contact eBay/PayPal, they'll take care of you.

Personally, my hopes (though high) is that these go on a fast flash sale either on Black Friday or Cyber Monday via B&H or Adorama, or shortly thereafter. As a side note, slightly used Demo "D" or Open Box gh5's pop up on those two sites often for about $1729-$1829 time to time and still hold/honor the 3 year warranty via Panny.

I've bought grey market Panasonic cameras with no problems. No problems with buying grey market Olympus lenses either. Haven't bought from 6ave though but I've considered then before. You also have to keep in mind even though it's a certain seller, you still have eBay and PayPal buyer protection in case something happens.
This is a pretty good deal in my opinion but maybe I'll wait on something for the g9 like $1200 new grey market. Even if I have to wait...

Interesting, but but risking having funds tied up if a used one comes, especially if another deal pops up in the interim.

Of course you can check for cosmetic evidence to see if it's been used, but it's also easy to check if the camera's been used via Shutter Count. Well, a little easier than Down, Down-Forward, Forward + Punch to throw a HADOUKEN!

Here's how to access the "secret" menu via Panasonic's temporary service mode:

Step 1.
Install an SD card. Turn the camera on. Take a picture. Turn the camera off.

Step 2.
Hold Play Button and AF/AE Lock Button while turning the camera back on.

Step 3.
Hold Play Button and Menu Button while pressing the Left on the Cursor Dial two times.

Step 4.
Camera Info Menu will be displayed on your screen. Shutter Count is abbreviated as SHTCNT.
