WARNING: Kaspersky Lab Has Been Working With Russian Intelligence

WARNING... The US Gov't flagged them in 2004 as having ties with the Russian Intelligence agency.

Russian cybersecurity company Kaspersky Lab [bloomberg.com] boasts 400 million users worldwide. As many as 200 million may not know it. The huge reach of Kaspersky's technology is partly the result of licensing agreements that allow customers to quietly embed the software in everything from firewalls to sensitive telecommunications equipment—none of which carry the Kaspersky name.

Old news and not a hot deal.

Microsoft has also worked with the NSA to make Windows "secure".

Kaspersky and Lenovo are being subsidized and thus spying for the Russian and Chinese, respectively, has been an open secret among the tech community for a while. Anyone who works for or with the federal government is barred from using them.

That's fine with me. Kaspersky can protect us from the NSA.

What is your source to indicate that Lenovo is not allowed by the feds?

It's now popular to blame everything on the Russians.

It has been an open secret for the last decade, a quick google search will show you all sources from ftc.gov to NYtimes.com to telegraph.co.uk, they were even fined a few years back for putting firmware on their laptops to remotely control them.

Not giving up my Kaspersky until someone can provide cold hard proof to me that they are in collusion with the Russian state. And no, the so-called experts in our government, with their own agendas in play, do not count. If Kaspersky is, not sure I care because so is our own government. Besides, it isn't' like I have anything left to steal thanks to OPM breach, Equifax breach, Anthem breach, Trump collusion, Hillary collusion, lobbyists bought and sold by Russia AND China and therefore influencing our Congress, and so on and so on...I mean if you are concerned about whether Kaspersky is supplying information and data to Russia, I respectfully submit you may be missing the forest for the trees.

An you win with an even more ignorant reply then the F.U.D this O.P. is spreading.

Read WickedGirl's post just below yours for a slice of a clue. This is conspiracy-agenda-driven-crap from so many sides, it makes H.YD.R.A. sound like a one trick pony.

Anyone who believes in a two party political system is dillusional... Those who do are just pawns playing out the agenda of keeping the two party system in place and most of those members seated.

This reply is dumb. The TRUMP admin was the one banning the anti virus from
Government.
