Live now, bought one for an IP cam I leave in my attic. Reviews (and price) certainly suggest you wouldn't want to use in difficult conditions with expensive equipment.

I think I have this same thing from a while back before best but changed their employee discount. Best buy gets this for five dollars and that's roughly what I paid for it. I'd buy it again for ten bucks. Does what it's supposed to do just fine

This is great for a point and shoot, action cam, cell phone, flash, binoculars primarily for indoor use or with supervision. You can't beat $10. Just have the right expectations.

Got one from the recent deal. It would be fine for use indoors without any wind. I had my dslr on it and seemed pretty sturdy but I wouldn't risk it in any windy conditions.

Is this comparable to the amazonbasic version which is about $12 all year long?

I got the Amazon Basics ~55" and it's great. Mainly use it for my Bosch laser level.

QUESTION:
~55" like these just are too short for higher level leveling needs. Is there a recommended $20-30 tripod out there that goes up to like 75-85"? Otherwise I'm stuck propping each leg up on a block of wood...
