Normally $89. Great sound-isolating earphones. I use these on flights and they actually block out sound as well as if not better than the Bose noise-cancelling over-the-ear headphones.

I've been using these for workouts for years. I love them. I unfortunately have to replace them every 2-3yrs because I sweat like a pig when I work out and that's 4-5 Days a week.

Noise? I don't hear anything. lol. I run with my music about 3/4 volume on my iPod Nano.

That's why I love the Shure IEMs. I can't hear anything and love it.

Obviously i have to use my head when running so I can look around. I don't rely on the sounds of cars to tell me something is wrong. lol.

Been using Shure for many years on flights and day to day. The sound reduction is very different than the Bose approach. I wouldnt say they reduce/block sound better than active noise canceling headphones. The Shure reduce the external noise coming into your ears so you can listen to music at a much lower level (which is a lot safer for your hearing). However, on planes one still gets persistent engine noise that after a few hours is unpleasant even attenuated. So while I've found passive reduction does makes flights better, on a plane the active canceling approach is more pleasant as it removes the sound and not just attenuates.

In summary, on planes sound isolation isn't better than cancellation in my experience. Sound isolation is a good and cheap way to make flights better, but not in the same league as active cancellation from Bose etc. With that said, the Shure is what I use daily for going around town or speaking on phone as it removes a lot of external noise for safer lower volume listening.
