Picked one up earlier today in store. 90 -day return policy so I can still wait for a better price if available. Picture quality is really good, but I am thinking I may just need a 1080p TV after all. It was when Netflix asked me whether I want to pay $4 more per month for UHD contents that I realized I watch 1080p content almost all the time lol.

Most tv's scale the image to 4k, and it makes a big difference compared to 1080. So won't matter if you pay for 4k or not, most content is upscaled

To get the item down to $274, use the $25 off coupon Costco warehouses have at their exits. Basically, it's a one sheet coupon with a code to use online-only at Costco.com. TV was delivered to my doorstep today. Net out the door priced was $308 with California taxes.

Good deal. FYI the 40" 6290 is $299 in store at microcenter if you can't do Costco (price changes in cart). LINK [microcenter.com]. The only difference between the 6290 and the 6300/630D is no bluetooth and a basic remote control on the 6290.

The coupon is online only, and the $299 price is in store only. How are you using the coupon?

Just for clarification, this deal is for the 630 model, which is the 6300 model at other B&M stores. It features the smart remote and Bluetooth. It is $379.99 at Costco online and $299 per the OP in store. The 6290 model (no smart remote / Bluetooth) which I bought is the $299 less $25 online only coupon deal. AFAIK the 6290 model isn't sold in stores.

Dang you must be in one of the near 10% tax counties. My total was $303 + change for Chino Hills (San Bernardino County) Buy a 30k car and your talking a real money difference.

I came in here thinking it was a 40" monitor. I guess I could still use it as a computer monitor.

I'm primary using it as a computer monitor @ 4K resolution (3840x2160), around 110 ppi. Sitting 2.5' away from the screen, it's a little wider and taller than normal view. I'm still trying to get it display at 60Hz but so far my 2017 MBP refused to do so.
