the sony 85 1.8 is not a bad deal. there is a cash back site for 2% back, making it 540

Appreciate the post, been looking for cameras specifically the Sony a-series.

Between the a5100 and a6000, from what I see on paper other than the shots per charge 400/310, continuous speed 6 vs 11, and the a5100 slightly smaller, is it worth the extra $50? I want to use to take pictures/portraits of my family just as a hobby, nothing pro.

I think it's pretty consistent at $600 so that's a pretty decent deal. The A6300 body only is a great deal.

Just a heads up to check out B&H too. At least on the A6300 body only they're matching the price and they're bundle is a lot better.

Looks like a good deal. Any bundle includes prime lens and zoom lens. I have my eyes on a6000 and 6300. I see lot of bundles including only kit lenses, it is really hard to find that combo.

Lol, a6500 is out of my budget. And i am not a pro. just a beginner 😂 so dont know if i can fully differentiate or make most out of 6500. Thank you for pointing out though 👍

yes, the bugdig deal is the best deal if you can afford the a6500 due to bundling of the sigma 30 1.4, normally a 320 lens, which costs 150 with the bundle.
the a6500 has the in body stabilizaiton, and a deeper buffer.
I have the 6300 which I bought from ebay, import model, with the kit lens when they had an ebay box promotion, and after cash back and ebay bucks, my final cost was 800 about 6 months ago. Again an import model, so no us sony warranty.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm planning to use the 18-105mm lens most of the time, the IBIS on the a6500 isn't really necessary is it?

This RX100 V deal is tempting. Cause my RX100 (1st gen) finally died. Anyone else see other deals on this?

I'm having major anxiety over spending this much money on a camera, so obviously I need a stranger on the internet to make this decision for me Smilie Options I'm considering are:

1) A6300 w/16-50 lens and adding 18-105 lens. Possibly later getting a Sigma 30mm f 1.4. All total would be roughly $1700.
2) Buydig deal with Sigma 30mm f 1.4 & 16-50 lenses for $1,469 + the 18-105mm from here for $550 = $2,020.

A6500 worth roughly $300 more? Would you recommend all 3 lenses mentioned or drop one?
