I backup all my electronics with an always running generator. Gas powered, its in my upstairs office (formerly spare bedroom)

The kids love the smell too and it makes them sleep alot so its a win win

Yeah, you might want to rethink your DR strategy then. But yes, the SD community is literally amazed at your generator. I have gotten several PMs pointing me to this post.

Thanks --- for anybody seriously thinking about getting this unit, I'd highly advise waiting until a unit comes out with a user-replaceable battery. The SLA batteries do go bad. I've been using UPS's for 20 years and have replaced a number of batteries. It's like a car battery... stuff goes.

That being said, APC and a CyberPower (I think.... TigerDirect deal from a few days earlier) seem to be making UPS's now with non-user replaceable batteries as they are considered "Consumables".

I don't consider myself an Earthie or Greenie, just a good steward of common sense, and I hate how wasteful this is. Plus, those SLA batteries are very similar to what is in a car battery --- I'd prefer not to have that in a landfill.

The battery in the Back-UPS is not user-replaceable. Contact SEIT Technical Support for
a list of authorized service centers near you. However, it does have a 3 yr warranty

This is a great deal. I just saw this in the ad and was about to post it but you beat me to it! Ironically my power is out right now as i'm typing this and I am using an Apc BGE70 to power my modem and router to allow me to post this from my ipad. I just ordered this model to hopefully get a longer runtime. I currently get a little over 2 hours with my bge70 connected to my modem and router.

Office depot will have the 650va version for $10 more on BF. Now the struggle of determining if it's worth it or not

Got one. Will see if anything better pops up this week but this should do well for the modem, router and big screen Sammy in the living room.

I'm away from home so can't check, but asking thoughts on if this will be man enough for ps4, old iMac (not as energy efficient) and modem?

I got this for $30 a couple of weeks ago and I'm using it for my HDTV, router/cablemodem etc. I will see if I can get the 650 version on BF for my iMac/voip/QNAP, I don't need it to have the computer/Tv running for a lot of minutes, but I do have Power Flickers every other day and I want to protect my electronic devices.
