These toaster ovens are kind of like car batteries: replace once every five years. thats about the mileage i get out of them, and for $15 thats a-okay!

Hawk the operation is simple. The top knob is for setting the temperature or just set to toast if your making waffles, toasting bread, bagels, etc... the bottom knob is for how done you want it. People may be referring to this part of it. Being not all toaster ovens are created equal there's a bit of trial & error with this. So you set the bottom knob to medium then it times out (mechanically) and toasts your food of choice to your desire. I've got this exact model (6th year) it's getting kinda old so I might pull the trigger at this price to replace mine. I mostly make eggo waffles for the kids & hot pockets for a quick snack. In the event your making something other than toasted breakfast items most packaged food have toaster oven setting instructions. They aren't rocket science just follow the box's directions. I don't recommend making crown rack of lamb in this unit. It's only $15. Get the $30. One for that.... 😜

For this price, I would like to get one. But I read through the reviews and it seems it's operation is pretty quirky. So I'm on the fence. Anyone own this exact model?

Small items, and reheating things like leftover pizza without using as much energy as pre-heating your regular oven.

I cook salmon in mine all the time. We have it set up outside on our back patio so the house doesn't have fishy odors. Holds up to weather well. 😂
