I just bought this TV and absolutely love it. I had price drop notifications setup because Crutchfield gives a 60 day price match guarantee so I figured I'd post to hopefully help some others out looking for this amazing TV.

From the research I did and IMO it's the TV to get if you are a heavy user and gamer because of burn in issues with OLEDs (http://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/pe...n-lcd-oled). Not sure if this is a permanent price drop or temporary but a great deal right now at $2000

Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Sony-XBR65...LHUZL?th=1
BestBuy: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony...Id=5714421
Crutchfield: https://www.crutchfield.com/S-OiI...X930E.html (no tax for most)

55" models are sitting at $1500 on all 3 sites if 65 is too big for you.

I don't post much, just lurk, so apologies if I missed something.

You're right, this is a great deal, and a good alternative to OLED if you're concerned about burn in. I'm still on the fence about which to go with.

I picked up the 65 inch for $1800.00 from AAFES (military) and still waiting on delivery. I am also going back and forth deciding if I want to keep the 930 or pick up the LG 65B7A for $1999.00. I don't game much anymore but the image retention has me debating. I had to deal with being careful with my Panasonic 65VT50 I just sold and not sure I want to worry about it again.

I bought 2 65x930e from best buy after they price matched w/ Microcenter for 1999, and they also added tax, think it was another 150. Now I'll have to reach out to them again to see if they'll match the Crutchfield add for 1999 w/ NO TAX. I believe they said they'll price match until JAN. Bought 1 Oct31 and the 2nd a week later.

Oled is still a better TV with awesome and breath taking picture quality.

The picture is great but I don't know if Android TV kills it for me. It is horrible and buggy and surprisingly incomplete in its app selection. Ever had to reboot a TV? I wish Google worked on it more.

I am a Google fan so take my opinion with that in mind but I think nothing beats Android TV. I think the big thing that bogs down user experience is the bloat which can be disabled easily enough. Sony has two apps which had some confusion to the menus and take up system resources, I just disabled them and it's perfect IMO.

It's not that simple. There are positives and negatives for each. This is a better option for heavy users and gamers, or those using in a bright room.

This is the best Sony tv for the price. You can't go wrong with the C7 or 930e if you're on the fence. Both are great tvs. I personally went with the OLED because I like to adopt new technology, hence my dumb 3D tv.
