These review fairly poorly, and I wouldn't really trust element TVs.

Spend 250 now to keep tv for a couple of years, wait for OLED prices to drop, and burn-in issues to be fixed. Buy OLED when they work out some more of their kinks.

Looks like you still have to connect antenna to the tv, just not switch the inputs when watching apps on firetv. So all it does is provides seamless interface between over the air channels and apps.

My wife and I have a 50" element LED tv that we bought from Walmart last year for $178 and the tv is excellent with no issues.
Kids watch Netflix and Toutube on it with the occasional XBox games here and there.
Great TVs for the price.

No hdr from what I can tell. Deal still looks good though. From what I can tell even HDR TVs don't utilize hdr unless they incorporate wcg, local dimming, etc...

What app are you using to give a slideshow feature? Also are you using photos off of a local Drive Or lan or are you getting them from Google photos

looks like many others as well:

Element 4K Fire TV Discounts:
43-inch: $382.50 (Reg. $450)
50-inch: $255 (Reg. $550)
55-inch: $340 (Reg. $630)
65-inch: $765 (Reg. $900)

43 inch with smallest discount.. wonder why?

I have two element TV's, one 50 inch and one 40 inch both 1080p. I never had a problem with them for years. Yet my Hisense 4K broke twice this year. Not the best TV's build quality wise, but they last fairly long.
