Noticed that costco.com has the gear s3 Frontier on sale for less than samsung will for their black friday sale. This deal may not work for everyone as they require membership.

Edit: talk to customer service and you may get 25 off using this coupon. (thanks to swlunatic for sharing)

There has been some confusion in the thread about whether this is Bluetooth only or LTE, so I am posting this up top.

This is part number SM-760NDAAXAR and is bluetooth only

Costco Samsung Gear S3 Frontier it sales this model SM-R760NDAAXAR. Not sure if the top part number was a typo as it is missing R after SM-R76... Google and can't find this model number.

SM-R760NDAAXAR:
NOTE: It has Bluetooth and WiFi (802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz)
Here is the Costco Specification: http://content.webcollage.net/app...tabs=false
https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile...60ndaaxar/

The LTE Variants for the Frontier all start with SM-765 and the rest of the part number depends on the carrier. This Frontier starts with SM-760.

The Classic also has an LTE variant (SM-770 for bluetooth vs SM-775 for LTE).

Notifications first and foremost. I get more than 100 emails at work everyday, and am in meetings most of day over multiple buildings so constantly on the move. Just a glance on the wrist let's me know what just came to my inbox without having to check the phone. Especially while walking between meetings with a laptop in one hand, I can use the watch for emails and also check the location of next meeting from the calendar in the watch without having to take the phone out of my pocket. I agree that any watch can do this, but paired with my Samsung phone (Note 5 earlier and Note 8 now), all my previous emails and messages are also synced in the watch with the default Samsung email and messaging app, so I don't need to pick up the phone for everything.

Battery life is amazing. Without Always on Display and wrist gestures for screen wake up turned on, I can go entire work week (5 days) without recharging, with using the watch ~12 hours a day (7 am to 7pm). Nothing else can match this. I also have to fly out for business trips once or twice a month for 2-3 days, I have been leaving the charger at home knowing that the watch will easily last me the trip.

The UI with rotating Bezel is super intuitive, smooth and efficient. Scrolling and navigating through touchscreen isn't the way to go for smart watches since the fingers would cover the screen most of the time and screen is constantly smudged. Apple watch has the rotating button, but it isnt as efficient and intuitive as the rotating dial.

Samsung pay with MST is the cherry on top, no need of NFC. I have lost count of how many times the cashier says Apple watch pay doesn't work and I reply with - "Trust me, this will work !!" People have even commented that some customers can't get a phone to pay, how am I getting it done with a watch !

This also looks much better than other watches. It takes standard 22 mm band, so you can buy any standard plastic band or a leather band or a metallic band, and use one to match the clothing and occasion. I use the default plastic/silicon band for daily use, and a black or a tan leather band while dressed up a bit. I have received many compliments on the looks of the watch.

I do agree the number of apps are limited vs Android wear. I have been using smartwatches for almost 2 years now, from a Moto 360 to Moto 360 v2 to Gear S2 and finally Gear S3 (bought this in April this year), so I do have experience in both the ecosystems. For what my daily needs are - Notification, health tracking, wallet less payment, good battery life, and something that should resemble a watch in looks, nothing comes close to Gear S3. All I am missing is Bixby to come over to Tizen for the voice assistance part also, S voice is simply bad.

I paid $50 for my Gear S3 when I got my Note8. Really nice smart watch. I was always reluctant to get on but glad I did.

hmm..no tax if I have it shipped to my house. With the coupon this could be the perfect thing to spend my $200 GC from getting the S8 there. I just wonder if I will use it...I didn't really use the Gear Fit 2 but this one seems much better.

I see $280 website price. I like the TUMI version's band much more but a pricey upgrade.
