I bought this cable modem router combo earlier this month and noticed (this morning) that there is a $30 manufacturer's savings valid 11/17/17 through 11/23/17, making this a good deal.

$179.99 - $30 = $149.99 plus FS

I had no problem calling CS to get a $30 credit back to the CC.

Applying a $25 off $250 code to your order of at least $250 would make this a sweeter deal.

Product is easy to configure; decent reviews. While not a perfect product (have had to reboot unit), it will do for now.

Features:
2-in-1 CableLabs DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem and WiFi Router
802.11ac Dual Band Gigabit
Get Top Combined WiFi Speeds of up to 1.9Gbps
24x8 Channel Bonding Ensures Fast Download Speeds
Eliminate Internet Service Provider Rental Fees

I cannot describe how much pain did this device cause to me. And to make things worse i paid $200 for it. It will lose connection frequently, and router is not aware of it happening. If you log in it will show connection as "good" and all lights on the actual device will show normal operation. It will take a very long time (15mins+) for it to try and reset connection without your intervention. Your only option is to reboot it which takes 3 minutes before you get online again. And this this keeps repeating all day long. Dont even think about online gaming. I understand that comcast may have issues on their part but im done trying to have them resolve this. But there is no excuse for making a "premium" router/modem this dumb. Whoever designed and made it should seek a new profession. After few months of using it i finally give up.

Thanks for sharing the review. Being an IT professional, I've come to expect mixed reviews for most tech products in general.

Based on my experience with my C6900 (not the C7000 reviewed) once Netgear got the firmware worked out (that was about a year ago) it's been nothing but bulletproof. It actually performed better in weak wifi areas than my previous modem and router (TP-Link Archer C7). If you look at the Newegg reviews you'll also see that with the exception of the one you posted, all of the other negative reviews were from before the firmware update.

I can only guess that the reviewer had a bum unit as I wasn't having to reboot it all the time like the reviewer.

I'm an IT consultant and I'm very happy with mine and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to my clients.

If you have purchased it from Costco then you can return it and get the 6900 which is in offer for 120$ . That's a good and stable one after last few firmware updates .
