This LG uses RGBW subpixels

Everyone considers this fake-4K, as it is technically only 2.8K.

This causes significant aliasing/ noise on certain types of high frequency images, such as text/ dense foliage. It also distorts color balance.

If this concerns you, I suggest you visit a local retailer and compare TVs or watch reviews online before purchasing.

RGBW. Don't buy this you'll be doing yourself a disservice.

For people who are asking what the heck is RGBW and why should I care here is a good article, a little old but good breakdown.

UJ and SJ are not abbreviations, they are models. FU is an abbreviation though.

RGBW Panel has to be super noticeable at this size.

not with that attitude.

in seriousness though, if you're sitting at the recommended 8', you won't see any pixels.

You won't see pixels, but the colors will be inaccurate and struggle, because of the pixels.

Do all LG have this? I'm assuming this is the same as the 6300 series?

Is this a deal? Anyone have a recommendation for a 70" 4K? I'm in the market but haven't researched too much yet. Also a few hundred dollars more isn't a dealbreaker if the picture is noticeably better. Thanks.

Crazy how cheap TVs are getting.
I'm using a LG 65" that I bought for $999 2 years ago, that type of pricing was FP worthy 2 years ago, now it's even cheaper

All LG UJ TVs are RGBW. If you want more than 2.8k, you have to get a SJ or OLED.
