Might be good for some as you dont pay for taxes in some states, I already pulled the trigger on the $280 Amazon deal because I had a bunch of unused Amazon Gift Cards.

I've had this set for 2-3 months now, and it has given me no problems. I routinely pull 450+Mbps over WiFi throughout my house. Only downside IMO is the size, but that's what you need to house the antennas for great coverage. I have gigabit service through Verizon.

Really good deal on an excellent product. I bought mine Oct 17 for $345 after taxes and it was worth every penny. Fills my three-story home with great reception. I keep my main router on the bottom level, satellite on the third level.

And because of the dedicated backhaul channel, there's no perceivable downgrade in speed anywhere in my home.

I'm getting the 3 pk from Costco for $370. Returns are easier if needed vs Newegg.

So I'm moving to a new larger house and investigating a system like this. Why would I not buy the Google WiFi instead?

Lesa than half this price and supposedly reviews better by CNET

Got my set in March for 285, there were a couple hiccups, but they have been resolved through firmware (was still pretty new at the time). Finally no more worrying about dead spots or extender switching, I've been really happy with it and the performance. I have an outdoor nest cam that uses the extender 24/7 and the stream never goes down (short of power outages), so I know it has been rock solid.
