I have one of those in different room now for more than 6 months and are pretty good and comfortable no issues.

"Gel" cooling memory foam mattresses are a gimmick which I believe do not work. My girlfriend is a heat sensitive sleeper. I went through three 3-inch cooling gel mattresses through costco and even tried doubling up on this Kohls branded topper when it was dirt cheap. She still got hot on them as compared to her regular mattress. They still trap and retain heat like any other foam.

Expect these to only least a few months until they start to sink

I'm looking to make my mattress more comfortable but not cooler. Has anyone used this with an electric blanket or a heated mattress pad?

I have bought one, I wish I hadn't. It slides too much. I just took it off my bed.

Honestly, I think the only reason it's advertised as "cooling" is because it promotes more air flow beneath your body. In theory, anyway. I bought mine for comfort and have had it for a couple of months, but I haven't noticed any discernable temperature difference. It has made my rock hard foam mattress more comfortable though.

Then this is not the type of topper you're looking for. You want one of the down-alternative pocketed/quilted toppers.

I had one,I removed it after a week. It was hot and the "memory foam" was to much "foam" not enough "memory"!!

which of these sizes would allow me to cut a mattress topper in half to use for 2 Twin sized beds?

Standard King

Typical king is 76x80
Typical twin is 38x75

You'll end up with 2 twin sized toppers that have an extra 5 inches in height (which is actually called twin XL I think).

If you want anything that actually helps support you look for a thicker topper with 3lb+ dense memory foam. I highly doubt this is the density it's rated for. This might be ok temporarily to help soften up a firm mattress or in a guest bedroom but don't expect much more.

Something in the 3-4" range with a true 3lb density goes for $130+. All I'm saying is go in with low expectations and hope for the best.

Would two of these stacked be as good as this Serta SoothingCool 3-inch mattress?
