BPS Red Hot Speical deals, Nov. 22-26.
Pflueger president spinning reel at $30 is solid deal.

LINK [basspro.com] (for reference)

President is generally considered the best to value reel for bass fishing. I have two 6930 paired with Berkley lightning shock. The retrieve speed is relatively low though.
The picture is on Red Hot Special Ad page 3.

Great deal! I have three of these reels and love then. Two 6930s, one 6935. Got them for around $38 with MIR, but never got my money. Also didn't keep scans or records of them : /

Can someone comment on the use of this reel for inshore saltwater fishing?

No problem.
I just reeled in 20.5" black drum without any problem yesterday with 6935.

PS. you may feel less excitement due to too smooth and effortless reeling experience. ;-)

Obviously, these aren't technically a saltwater reel so I would highly recommend spraying down with fresh water after each use or the salt will do some damage.

These are freshwater reels. The line capacity may be too small for saltwater. Also, freshwater reels may be vulnerable to saltwater corrosion. You might want to wait for a deal on Penn Battle II or Spinfisher V($100 level golden standard).

I'll piggyback this great deal and share that Cabela's has the Pflueger President Limited Edition Spinning Reel for 50% off (reg. $79.99, sale $39.99) on Black Friday (page 20 on their BF ad). Some nice features over regular President for just $10 more.

Nice deal - and I don't even like spinning reels that much.

Ive lived in Panama city beach Florida last 14 years and without a doubt the President and the archaic Penns are the most common reels you will see used along the intercoastal that don't have a Japanese name. The Pfluger to be a composite reel is super strong, silky smooth and holds up well to the salt environment. The most common gripe I've heard in tackle stores is of handle breakage and sometimes a pinion gear but I broke the one in my Shimano Stella when I hooked a friggin Wahoo so for the dollar it's a great reel. Just it still has to be maintained as any reel does.

Seems like there are two flavors of this reel as in "new" & "old" . This seems to be the old version of the reel . If you see Amazon you should be given the " see the newer model" option .

Yes 2 flavors. This is the older model based on photos. But still great reels. May need to get one as backup. Just got a supreme XT which is now my primary reel. Extremely happy with pflueger reels.
