This doesn't look like a deal as I could find same item for same price elsewhere.

Yeah, not a steal, but a fair price for what you get. There's a $399 22 inch version here >

My guess is that he found other brands with similar specs for that price or thereabouts. For example, the Ariens 24 inch classic is regularly priced at $699 and I'm sure you could find other off brands (yardmax, huskee, mtd, etc) with similar specs for $600 making this a fair, but not necessarily slick deal IMO.

I don't think you'll find a zero turn 24 inch two stage blower at this price point.

You could argue the entry level Ariens is a better quality product but it does not have the same features. Same features for Ariens are around $1,000 I think.

I'm thinking about this but is the 5 year service warranty good? 5 year cost around $300+ half the price of this thing. I'm not so sure. Maybe I'll get the 3 year service warranty but I think this already have 2 year manufacture warranty.

I'm not fan of extended warranty, never ever buy them as they are very rarely used. Some credit cards add or even double existing warranties. Check to see if you have one those cards.

Also for $100 more, this seems the 'quite' version but bigger size. $599 is 24" and this one is 26". Please someone recommend! I'm just a noob at this.. yes my drive way is gawd damn too long.

I kind of wonder if the all negative reviews are overreaction or not. Many of them say some parts not working and sears charging at least $80 or something just to come out and take a look at it.

Just purchased the Craftsman 88694 26" Quiet 208cc Dual-Stage Zero Turn Snowblower. As best I can tell, this unit is a virtual cone of the 24" model but adds 2" in additional clearing width (worthwhile to me) and a quieter engine (I could care less). The reviews on the 26" seem solid. Not sure if the $699 price is a BF deal or not.
