Best buy has KEF (what looks like Q100s) for $249.98.

Amazon [amazon.com] (updated to $249.98) and KEFDirect [kefdirect.com]has them on sale too at $299.99. These were supposed to have been replaced by new model. But apparently they are back in stock some how.

EDIT: Looks like amazon price matched. TY Abraham5

If you've seen any of my crap comments you know I'm usually highly negative with stereo stuff on this site.

These speakers are legit. They blow everything else in this price range out of the water. They have some pretty controlled bass as well.

They sound way bigger than they are. At 125 each these are a steal. Buy them now. Ask questions later. Everyone deserves good audio.

BestBuy has the KEF Q100 Bookshelf Speakers for $249.98, $300 off list price. Plus, $25 off $250 if you have the Amex offer.

Every other store sells them right now for at least $299 (like KefDirect.com and Amazon).

They have been replaced by the Q150, which sells for $549, this is why the huge discounts.

They sound amazing for the price, I have them right now in the same room with the Polk Monitor 70 series II (tower speakers) and the powered Klipsch R-15PM. They are in a completely different league than the Klipsch (which I will be returning, the sound is bad), and sound even better than the big Polk Tower Speakers.

Hell of a deal. The q100s can be a little bright for some, but nothing that can be tamed with basic tone controls.

Ordered a pair, thanks. Now I'm patiently waiting for the q200c to go on sale.

250 now on Amazon too.
These speakers are really good, crisp and clean. Highly recommend. The sound signature is fine as is, but I've always liked a little brighter sound as opposed to bass/mids in audio, personally.

Love these speakers. Bought a pair to audition even though my wife wanted ceiling speakers that she couldn't see. I played her some Radiohead (her favorite band) as soon as I had them connected and she just smiled and nodded. Added the KEF thin center channel later. Couldn't be happier.

How do these + an amp compare to the JBL 305s?

Bass is too much imho, even with port plugs, nonetheless, a very nice pair for the price
Much of that will depend on room placement.

JBL 305s are exceptional for the price. Over all a more neutral sounding speaker. Their limitation is volume and pricy expansion.

Very tempted to get this, but I don't want the huge Q650c as the center channel. Else I would order two sets of these right now.

Listening to a set of Q100s right now! Very happy with them. Listen to them with the woofer/tweeter right at ear level and they sparkle!

Considering a set up for a Great Room/open concept kitchen where these would be connected to my tv along with a receiver.

Would this be a good setup for stereo? Would I need a sub?

I saw someone else mention a center channel.

Any help would be much appreciated.
