Looks like an attack on American (AA) hubs... Throughout the year, you'll find AA, United, and Delta having big sales in competitor hubs. For Delta, the hubs are MSP, DTW,ATL,SLC For AA, it is DFW,MIA,ORD, and maybe CLT. I'm not familar with United, but ORD, PHL, EWR, IAH...and maybe others.

December to February is not the best time to sight see all of Iceland, but really good if your intent is to see the northern lights. Cheaper than going to Alaska (Fairbanks), or Northern Canada for the same... I suggest bringing the max amount for alcohol and food per their import laws, as the prices in Iceland is literally 3x or higher than in USA.

I am based in Detroit and a Delta Platinum, so I get treated pretty well on DL flights... I considered driving 4.5 hours to Chicago, but the dates/times didn't look very good. I'll wait for better deals. Icelandic air and WoW have really good sales throughout the year.

Think it is dead, I was getting ~$230 from PHL earlier. Iceland isn't really on my list of places to visit and couldn't really convince myself to book even at that ridiculous fare.
