Looks like a decent deal. It's cheaper than other online options. I have a UP2516D and really like it. Similar specs but costed more because of the sRGB rating.

This is not a gaming monitor, 60hz. But great for general use.

I know a lot of people here seem to be looking for gaming monitors, this obviously is not. I added those points in the post. Thanks

I picked one of these up at my local Best Buy a day or two ago. I have two MacBook Pro Retina laptops. One a late 2013 13" model (personally owned) and the other a 2016 15" model (company owned).

I was contemplating going 4K and using the built-in OSX scaling to provide legible fonts and large-enough icons, and the Dell p2415q (24" 4K) was high on my list. That's an older model (over 2 years?) that got great reviews, and Amazon seems to be the selling it now for about $350. But then this offer popped up on my radar (I didn't realize it hadn't been posted about on SD or else I would have done so), and in trying to figure out the 4K stuff I came to doubt whether my older MacBook would be capable of driving it. Plus I had a weird notion of even buying two of them, and it definitely seemed unlikely that I'd be able to do that.

So I went to my local BB and brought my older MacBook and a rep there helped me to plug it in so I could try it out in-store (which I consider more of a service to them, since I felt a little bad about the idea of buying it and then returning it - there is no restocking fee but they'd have to sell it as an open-box). It looked pretty damn good, so I bought it.

Then I got it home and plugged it in alongside an older Acer 27" QHD monitor that my wife stole from me and confirmed that I could run two QHD monitors with my older MacBook.

So now that I've got it hooked up to my work computer and have been using it for 1-2 days, some observations:
1) I'll say that I was a little bugged by the fact that the color didn't match my MacBook's display 100%. It looks great, but it's off a little. At this point I"m not blaming the monitor, because there are a lot of settings/tweaks I can make, so I'm still hopeful that I can get them to match closer. And worst case, it still looks "close enough". Color is vibrant and brightness is great (too great, actually - I had to turn that down because I was getting a headache on day one).
2) The monitor stand is fun. My Acer monitor has limited (if any) adjustments. This Dell stand can be tilted, twisted, lifted, and turned 90 degrees. I decided to use it in portrait mode today to see what that might be like. I'm a developer and I'm sitting close to this thing, and it feels a little too tall to use comfortably like that long-term. But it's neat to look at. I even tracked down some high-res photos in landscape format to use as a wallpaper and it really makes the monitor show off well with it's vibrant color and brightness.

Before I purchased it I did a bit of Googling and came up short, because I think this monitor is still very new. But as someone else stated, it seems like it's really just a minor update of another monitor they had (U2515H I think). But I did find this review which is extremely detailed:
https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/dell-u2518d/

They spent some time testing and critiquing the HDR claim and, as others have stated, that seems to be a scam. Their conclusion was that it's a very good monitor but not a great deal at the price that was current as of their review ($500 I think), because it seemed like Dell was looking to find some suckers who would pay extra for an HDR monitor. But if you completely disregard the HDR aspect, and look at it at it's current price of $250, it seems like a pretty great monitor deal.

Part of me would love to pick up a 2nd one because of the deal factor, but my home office is tight and I'm not sure that I could fit well unless I wanted to close my MacBook and get an external keyboard, and that seems like a waste since my work MacBook Pro 15" has a 2880x1800 resolution screen (acting like a 1920x1200 screen).

If you're looking for great color and doing productivity work, this seems like a great monitor to me. If you're into gaming, maybe it's too slow and might suffer from tearing (I say this just based on some of the "anti-tearing" features of other monitors I came across while researching). I personally don't do any gaming with a monitor, so that's a non-concern for me (I have a PS4 Pro and PSVR and only play VR games).

If any Mac users have specific questions, I can try to help out and answer. But remember, too, that Best Buy is now offering their extended holiday return policy and there's no restocking fee, so at $250, if you're at all interested, you should go ahead and buy it.

Don't forget about the Amex offer $25 back when spending $250 or more.

What do you all think about the deal? The review on this monitor seems to be really good for work (coding, reading documents, etc) and the price has never been below $250. I wonder if there are comparable display at lower price.

For me, definitely worth it for the charging ports on the left side of the monitor, and the really solid adjustable stand. The clarity is great and the improved ergonomics over my previous monitor are great.

Wanted Dell to price match (have some gift cards) but they informed me they don't the week before or after Thanksgiving.

I bought this BenQ monitor with the $60 BH gift card last week. Started using it, 2nd day, the monitor had crazy flickr/distortion. Returning it back to BH today. Attached image for reference.

I'm not a fan of the build quality of the BenQ. The menu is poor. The buttons are weird. The behavior of Windows when BenQ powers on vs Dell power on, it really odd. BenQ seems like when power on, it's adding the monitor each time it powers on. My Dell doesn't do that.

I was adding the BenQ to my Dell UP2518D, but not going to deal with another BenQ. I'm buying this U2518D to match my other Dell.

From what I found, it's just newer version. They added HDR but reviews say the HDR support is not good.
