I'm seeing there is a free demo that you can download for the game on the Origin page - so you can try that if you're on the fence. The single player campaign is a lot of fun but short. Maybe about 5 hours to finish.

The movement system is unique in this game. There is a mechanic called slide hopping (instead of bunny hopping), wall running, air strafing, which are part of every pilot class. Then each class has an additional ability which would enhance your playstyle. Such as grapple or stim speed boost to enhance movement, or a personal shield wall or cloak for sniping. However, the strong movement system really cuts down on any camping. If you like flanking and movement/aggression you will enjoy it. If you like only camping then you will be challenged - but still fun. Some players try to do both with success.

Building up "meter" as you play the game allows you to call down your own Titan. Expect to drop maybe 1 to 2 Titans each MP match in the game modes that allow it. If you like mecha the Titans will be a lot of fun for you (naturally).

On youtube I recommend FrothyOmen for tutorials, Iniquity for fun gameplay, Benchy for pro level gameplay...to get your expectations caught up.

The game has a small but dedicated community right now on PC, getting anywhere from 1k to 2k players during peak hours. One great feature is something called "mixtape matchmaking" where you can queue for multiple game modes at the same time. This keeps the multiplayer wait times down to about 1 minute if you include attrition and queue for at least 3-4 game modes at once. There are game modes focused on pilot gameplay, Titan gameplay, or both.

The developer has continued to support the game with free DLC monthly since launch. Two final DLC updates are scheduled for Nov and Dec. All paid content is cosmetic only. No pay to win here.

Game balance is really good right now. All classes are well represented in multiplayer, and you can do well with all of them. All Titan classes are also balanced.

I'm really not into call of duty and twitchy shooters. I'm more of a halo guy. Would I enjoy this game's multiplayer? I know it's cheap but I don't want to buy a game that I only play once and realize that I hate it.

How big is the community for this game on PC though? Even at $10, I feel like you can only get your value out of this with the online.

Good prices but both Titanfall 2 and BF1 gamer populations are low on PC. If you're looking primarily to play multiplayer for either game, get them on consoles.
