AE quality is trash these days
I have a few of their shirts / flannels and the quality is great. I guess it depends on what you consider to be good quality.

When did you buy them? There are a few exceptions but overall the quality is subpar as of late and I have alot of their clothing I bought in the past as reference to compare with their current stuff

I bought them last year and today I was just at AE and got these shirts..

I was happy with the quality and what I like about them is that their logo isn't super noticeable.

I worked for AE for 8 years. I would not call them trash AT ALL. Yes they are overpriced at retail value, but at 40%, its a good buy. They do make good quality stuff. Although some of their pieces are made a bit too thin IMO, making them susceptible to wear and rips. But as fashion pieces, they are good. Theyre jeans are top notch for the sale price. Their new flex jean line for men is insane. Ive never been able to wear anything slim straight or more tapered. Even sized up. My calves and thighs are too muscular, so they would end up looking super tight. The flex fixes that. Fit is snug, but still just enough looseness. They had selvedge jeans a while back that were awesome for the price.

Also, theyre return policy is very good (as long as it hasnt changed). Return anything, at anytime, for any reason, with receipt. Its not known. And usually you might get push back. But most floor managers dont care that much and would rather push another sale.

Can you return items without tags? I went a little too shop happy once and bought stuff that I never wore. It's been like a year..

Dang. Free shipping is not working for clearance jeans. Oh well. I'm not desperate for new jeans.

Yea, it depends on the cashier, and manager on duty. Technically you can. If its worn to shit, most likely they will refuse it. You have the receipt? If you do, it shouldnt be a problem. They should give you your money back however you paid if you have your receipt. If you have an AE rewards card, receipts are stored on that too as long as you used it. Be careful, they will probably try to dump a "store card" or gift card on you for the purchase, which you may want. Also, the associate and manager are more willing if you mention that you havent worn it and want to shop around. Of course, dont be an ass and say that if you dont mean it.

I removed the clearance link as it's not part of the free shipping deal.

They're the only jeans that fit me and I typically get them on sale for $30. They last as long as can be expected for jeans. I also have flannel from there that has lasted too. Some of their stuff
