Just ordered 2 sets.
Been shopping for just a Magpul rear sight and they're $55.

Plastic sights...not good if mounted on a gas block with picatinny rail because it'll melt. Maybe it'll do better mounted on a free float rail. Still, I wouldn't trust plastic sights, Magpul or not.

Hey everyone, Debbie downer is back! Applause

Maybe if you're doing full auto mag dumps it's a problem. Otherwise, the concern seems overblown. People have been talking about this supposed problem for years and there don't appear to be any reported instances of this theoretical problem actually occurring.

Further, if you don't want to trust polymer sights, don't. BTW, do you trust polymer mags?

I trust polymer mags on piston ARs, not generic DI ARs. On DI, the bolt gets hot, which may cause a failure to feed.

I guess you should call the Pentagon and lend them your vast expertise since they've incorrectly made Magpul's Gen M3 polymer mags the standard issue magazine for the Marines, US SOC, and the Air Force (with DI guns). Wave

Yeah...U.S. military is pretty stupid; using lead ammo, DI guns, and now plastic mags? Doesn't really surprise me. You gotta go for cheap literal "shit" if you have such a large army.

Can you find another forum to enlighten with your "expertise" by any chance? How did we all get so lucky?
