Smart Nora [smartnora.com] has $50 off their Contact-Free Snoring Solution. Price is $249 (discount automatically applied at checkout). Shipping is free.

This was featured in Oprah's Favorite Things of 2017.

When snoring is detected throughout the night, Smart Nora starts a gentle movement in a specially-designed pillow insert. This stimulates the throat muscles, allowing for natural breathing to resume, helping the partner and the snorer sleep through the night.

More info:
  • Smart Nora works with soft, firm, down, memory foam, or any other pillow on the market. The unique design allows you to sleep on your side, back or stomach.
  • Silent, portable, and discrete snoring solution. Smart Nora comes with rechargeable batteries and there are no electronics under your head.
  • Adjust sensitivity level of the microphone, amount of motion in your pillow and the 30-minute delay, to find your optimal setting. For best results, during the first two weeks customize Smart Nora to your bedroom environment and use the overhead mount.

Very interested. 10 positive reviews on Amazon, but only two are Verified Purchases. How long has the product been available and what do pulmonologists say?

Sounds pretty neat, but after a few years with a cpap I'm hesitant to spend $250 on something that doesn't have more reviews.

Anydody interested can have my wife, Angry Nora, for free. She instantly stops me snoring within a second of detecting it. There isn't a contactless model though.

More reviews on their Kickstarter page:https://www.kickstarter.com/proje...n/comments

For example:

It is an extremely overpriced sound activated air pump. It detects noise and pumps the air into the airbag placed under your pillow which causes your head to move up. Although they say that you can't feel or hear this in your sleep, I can. Not even sure why you need the wireless device. A sound activator could have just been built in packaged with the airpump box. This thing doesn't help me at all. But some people do claim it helps them. It would be ok at 50 bucks or less. But at almost 200, you're better off buying a cpap machine

Not going to comment on the efficacy of this snoring/sleep aid, but if you have truly have obstructive sleep apnea, you would be better served by going to your physician and getting a sleep study performed. It will tell you the degree of your OSA, and if a CPAP or BIPAP is needed. CPAPs and BIPAPs are clinically proven devices that puts positive air pressure into your mouth and lungs to keep your throats from closing (typically seen in overweight patients or who may have a larger tongue). All this device does is lift your chin up, which could help a certain degree. It is NOT clinically proven yet (it is a sleep/snoring aid, not a medical device) and therefore not regulated by the FDA
