Any deals for 8GB (2x4GB)? (It seems like they don't make 2GB sticks, otherwise I would also consider 2x2GB)

Building a server and would rather save the money given current RAM prices.

Holy smokes batman what happened to ram prices! I bought this ram back in 2016 for $176. Did the market for ram change?

DDR4 mobos weren't as common. Now that the new Kaby Lake, Ryzen, etc chips are out that require DDR4, they've gone up considerably.

Samsung is reportedly ramping up production in order to fend off smaller producers looking to enter the market under the current price uptick. Prices are projected to decrease early 2018 as a result.

Will these work with the Intel Z370 chipset? I see they specify Intel Z170 in the description.

Sooo glad I got my 4x8 GB DDR4-3200 kit back in March for ~$210. Same kit is nearly $400 today. EEK! It's painful to build a box with SSD + DDR4 + gaming video card right now.

I found info on this memory as 8x8 showing it works with asus hero x370 board.

The promo code is being thrown out when I go to checkout. <update: you must use MasterCard Checkout to use discount code. I don't read up on acronyms all the time.. >

HA, was wondering the same thing last week when I was looking at maxing out the RAM in my system. I'm holding out till next year hoping prices go down to 2016 levels.

I mean...it's an OK deal, only slightly less per GB than the 2x8 TridentZ RGB set a few weeks ago.

But I guess since they're 16GB sticks...sure?

Using April 2016 as the comparison point, RAM prices have literally TRIPLED.
