AT&T deal NOT thru Costco -Buy one iPhone 8, get iPhone 8 free, at least one new line required.

iPhone 8 bogo at att store. This is different from the other deal and I didn't see the info posted in there. You can do the same deal but you don't have to pony up for an X and you can get the phones immediately. It's a 700 dollar credit and requires a new line and activation.

No direct tv necessary either.

Note: if you preordered an X from Apple you'll not be eligible for to use the x bogo even if it was an upgrade. This is assuming full payment for the X. I don't know if they're do it with the next plan.

I'd assume two years to get the full credits.

Same deal that's been running for a while now- good on either the 8 or X as new line or upgrade, then the get-one must be a new line.

You can pay off the Buy One phone immediately after the credits start, but have to keep the get-one phone on NEXT for 24 months to get the full $700 in credits.

It's also available at Best Buy for anybody with a card that'll get them 5% off there (Citi Dividend does till the end of 2017 for example)- you can prepay 90% of the Buy One phone plus the taxes and get 5% off it that way, so better than buying at AT&T store

do you know if I can pay off the "Buy One" phone before credits start and still get the credits?

are you sure any one of the two phones can be iphone X? T&C [att.com] states "Phone X is not eligible"

TIA

I don't think you can, something in their system that initiates the credits is tied to the NEXT on the Buy One phone, at least that's what I've seen reported on reddit threads and elsewhere.... once the credits start you can pay off the balance.

(and remember you can put down as much $ as you wish initially- so you can pay for 99% of the phone initially anyway)

Absolutely sure.

It's the get-one that can't be an X. The buy one can be an 8, 8 plus, or X.

Thanks for the useful info. I saw the same on the best buy, but is that valid in AT&T stores (this thread's topic) and Target (smart choice because of the additional gift card)?

and somebody on reddit is saying "I don't see why not" about the paying off buy one phone before credit kicks in: https://www.reddit.com/r/ATT/comm...ard_deals/

Does anybody know if pulling in an existing individual line on AT&T to a MobileShare plan would count as a "new line" ? Or does a new line have to be a newly generated number or port in from another provider? TIA.

Any info on stacking this offer with the walmart or target gift card promotions?

We have one line on att and one on vzw. Planning to switch both to att and use the bogo offer.

Would be nice if I could score $500-$600 in gift cards along with the bogo

Can you do two iPhone 8+? We are thinking of porting my grandma's line from cricket to at&t and doing an upgrade on it and one of our current lines.

Sure. As long as 8+ is $700 or less, which is the maximum credit amount.

porting from cricket may not consider a true port-in as cricket is an at&t company.
