Want to get into Linux, what's the cheapest way? craigslist? amazon, ebay?

Old Thinkpad for a few hundred bucks?

cheapest way is by using hardware you already own. Most linux distros are free.

You can dual boot, install just linux on a computer, use an emulator or vm, etc.

Be careful spending "a few hundred bucks" on old hardware. may not be a very slick deal.

another option is to run a Linux VM / Virtual Machine and do everything on it.
No new hardware needed, use your existing w/o reconfiguring your OS.
If you don't want to use it anymore, delete files.
